Ed Conning Memorial Slalom

Difficulty: II-III

Hazards: Sharp Rocks, Foot Entrapments

Day: Saturday

Time: 10:00 am

The Ed Conning Memorial Slalom will be held just above Hayden Arch Bridge. This class II-III section will hold up to 20 gates, both upstream and downstream. Kayakers compete against the clock while navigating through a series of challenging moves. This race is best described as, “Class V moves, in a class II environment.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

Canyon Boatercross

Difficulty: III-IV

Hazards: Pin Potential, Sieves, Sharp Rocks, Sticky Holes, Foot Entrapments, Extended Swim Potential

Day: Saturday

Time: 1:00 pm

The Canyon Boater Cross is located just below Hayden Arch Bridge. 

Because of the difficulty of these drops, and dangerous hazards involved, only expert leveled paddlers should register for this event. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Downriver Sprint

Difficulty: II-III

Hazards: Shallow Water, Foot Entrapments

Day: Sunday

Time: 10:30 am

The Downriver Race is an all out sprint through the Six Mile section of the Shoshone River. While this is our friendliest event, please note that all paddlers should have basic river skills, and should come prepared with all safety equipment.
